Hi I am Iain Smith (Smith).

At 14 years of age I got a Saturday job in my local bike shop, which became permanent at 16 when I left school.

All my life I have enjoyed cycling. I raced Mountain bike Road BMX and cycle cross.
I learnt the basics from a young age and I pride myself in my bike running perfectly every time I cycle.

I have worked on a large range of bikes from children’s bikes to mountain bikes and road bikes, both inexpensive and expensive.
I always kept myself up to date with the latest technology that is constantly evolving and learning how it works and how to fix it.
Not only do I keep up to date with all the new technology coming into the cycle industry,
I also learn about the workings of older technology like Sturmey Archer.

I also was lucky enough to mechanic for a mountain bike team,
and I have also been a team mechanic for a Yorkshire time tribe team.

My time in the industry made me see a gap for disabled athletes and
I have done many conversions for disabled cyclists.
I believe everyone has the right to enjoy cycling no matter what.
